Q: What is the difference between an Orchestra Partner and Alliance Partner?
A: Orchestra Partners are independent IT consulting firms and contractors who collectively comprise HyNote’s services, offerings and global consulting bench. Alliance Partners are large and global systems integration firms as well as major IT vendors and their professional services organizations.

Q: Is HyNote Orchestra membership only relevant for companies and contractors working within Enterprise Performance Management, BI and Enterprise Data Management domains?
A: No. While the initial focus of HyNote Enterprise Solutions (the client facing business of HyNote) is on the EPM, BI and EDM markets, our Partner Services are beneficial and relevant for any independent consultancy. Additionally, HyNote is promoting consultant referrals through Orchestra Online to a wide variety of customers, global systems integrators and IT vendors well beyond the aforementioned IT market segments.

Q: What is Orchestra Online?
A: Orchestra Online is a powerful, web-based database of Orchestra Partner consultants and job opportunity registration system. HyNote customers, alliance partners and even other Orchestra Partners can use Orchestra Online to search for consulting talent based on a variety of search criteria including vendor/product skills, location, rate, industry expertise, availability and more. Users can then submit job opportunity details and consultant request to the Orchestra Partner(s) employing the selected consultant(s).

Q: Does HyNote markup my subcontracting rates when other Orchestra or Alliance Partners find and engage my consultants through Orchestra Online?
A: No. HyNote only adds a markup to partner subcontractor rates when HyNote is providing consultants directly to end customers.

Q: How do I protect the identity of my company’s consultants when listing them in Orchestra Online?
A: Your company’s consultant names are not made visible until you receive and accept a job opportunity from HyNote or another partner. Additionally, all Orchestra Partners agree to not solicit the employees of other partners when joining the program, except for making subcontracting requests through the employing partner organization.

Q: What are the differences between subcontracting under HyNote versus other prime contractors?
A: There are two significant advantages to subcontracting with HyNote. First, HyNote shares our customer relationships with partners beyond initial engagement and encourages joint development of relationship and additional opportunities. Other prime contractors prevent subcontractors from directly soliciting business from the prime contractor’s customers, effectively locking partners out from any customer where they have provided subcontracting services. Second, HyNote shares profit with partners on every HyNote customer engagement. We believe that this practice properly motivates and rewards partners and their consultants for the services they are providing to customers. Conventional prime contractors negotiate the lowest subcontracting rate possible, regardless of the actual rate being charged to the end customer.

Q: Does my company have to agree to subcontract under HyNote to become a partner?
A: No.

Q: What is HyNote’s Dedicated Sales Program?
A: A great alternative to hiring, managing, motivating and compensating your own sales representative(s). HyNote’s Dedicated Sales Program provides partner with quota carrying sales representation focused on the partner’s specific business. Because HyNote is responsible for hiring, paying and managing the sales professionals, partners can opt for less than a full-time employee or spread their budget for a single FTE over multiple actual reps located in multiple geographies.

Q: What types of services does HyNote provide to the Orchestra Partner community?
A: HyNote provides contract sales, marketing, web design, accounting, staffing and other business services tailored to independent consulting firms and contractors.

Q: What is Conductor Online?
A: Conductor Online is HyNote’s secure project management and team collaboration portal. It enables multiple team members to securely and centrally collaborate and manage client deliverables and status reporting. Client and partner project stakeholders can even subscribe to real-time RSS feeds to stay abreast of project activity without always having to log in.
